What you'll be doing

Responsible for expanding the business of existing small business banking clients managed from the branch. Continually identify new prospects and develop and present effective marketing approaches, primarily through on-site visits. Sell/cross sell products such as business loans, lines of credit, RE loans, demand deposit/operating accounts, cash management, payroll, merchant cards, and other payments services. Responsible for selling full spectrum of products to clients and prospects, as appropriate to client needs. Effectively uncover and assess prospects needs and financial status to provide accurate and suitable credit and other product advice and recommendations. Interview clients for business needs and review business financial data to recommend credit and other products. Partner with other business lines as appropriate. Partner with BDO and BCA on larger opportunities as well as RE opportunities. Analyze business financial data and submit complete credit packages to the Credit Center for underwriting. Clearly communicate the application and credit decision process. Proactively follow up on credit requirements. Act as liaison between business credit center and prospect/client. Provide recommendations about possible appeals of credit denials. Stay informed as to current underwriting guidelines. Provide expertise on business credit issues to other branch personnel. Collaborate with Business Credit Center for underwriting.

What your background should be

3-5 years of experience in the small business banking market; 3- 5 years of business development experience selling to a broad range of industries and a breadth of company sizes or related.
