What you'll be doing

Provides managerial oversight to a construction project or a series of construction projects. Responsible for the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Oversees, directs and manages project teams including facility administration, project coordinators, general contractors and contracted consultants. Directs work and staff for teams of people. Works in conjunction with project directors and service area managers to accomplish a variety of projects within budget, on time, and within the company standards for quality and applicable regulatory requirements. Responsible for the hiring of internal and external project management staff. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to project managers. Performs complex planning and direction setting with diverse and multiple stakeholders, requiring management of competing and abstract ideas. Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed. Involves in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations. Participates in the development of overall functional objectives and company goals. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and project functional trends. Analyzes recommendations made by others to solve issues bearing broad or company-wide impact. May involve the application of sophisticated methodology.

What your background should be

Minimum fifteen (15) years of related field experience is required. Significant experience in a large scale multi-project people management role. Extensive knowledge in principles of architecture, engineering, and construction. Thorough knowledge of preparing contract documents, fixed price, guaranteed maximum price, legal implications of design/build in applicable state required. Excellent working knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations related to real estate and land development and health facility projects.

Required Schooling / Training

BA/MA degree in architecture, structural or electrical engineering.
