What you'll be doing
- The general utility worker will be responsible for operating and maintaining bobbin-winding equipment. Hacoba machine: select appropriate color bobbins and material for product; assign lot number; open cans, check moisture level and record; load machine with yarn and empty bobbins; verify tension of Hacoba line and Hacoba strokes; prepare identification labels and place on trays of material for lot identification. Complete required data on the device history record and other related forms. Follow the line clearance procedure. Braider cleaning: clean braiders, benches and other related equipment using specified solvents and cleaning materials. Maintain a cleaning log; schedule and communicate braiders due for cleaning; blow off fiber lint from braiders using an air hose. Rackwash: accurately mix chemicals for rack washing in manual tank; check level of Safestrip in automatic wash tank and level of water in the rinse tank; place racks for washing in automatic rackwashing tank or in manual tank; return racks to proper bin locations; drain and clean washing tanks as needed. The general utility will also be responsible for performing other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/facilitator. Follow current compliance regulations and standards that comply with all federal regulated programs. Ensure safe working conditions and practices within the department. Demonstrate teamwork in identifying, evaluating and resolving problems within the department.
What your background should be
- A minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience working in a good manufacturing practice (GMP) environment preferred. Experience with textile/bobbin winding equipment (i.e. Hacoba) preferred. Basic computer skills required. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have strong analytical problem solving skills. Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals and fractions, required. Must have the ability to use the following: microscope, read ruler, label making equipment, copier, and calculator. The ability to maintain production records is required. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and various processes and coordinate with other departments to effectively perform job duties.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma.
