What you'll be doing

As a field property claims adjuster, the candidate will play a vital role to ensure the deliver on promise to help restore people lives after they had a loss. S/he will be responsible for evaluating homeowner property damage, which will require travel to sites where the damage is located. Applicant will also work directly with customers and guide them through the claim process, and negotiate fair and equitable settlements. This position will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and document every step of activity for each claim on company state-of-the-art computerized next gen claims system. Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate property claims in order to reach fair and equitable settlements. Act as a customer advocate by establishing and maintaining a strong personal rapport with customers. Provide support to local company offices to expedite the claims process. Follow established procedures to ensure a positive customer experience and satisfy defined business objectives.

What your background should be

The applicant must have minimum 3 years of property estimating experience. Prior use of Xactimate or any other estimating programs a plus. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to take initiative and seek training necessary to Excel; ability to apply classroom concepts in a real world working environment; physical ability to climb up a ladder and on rooftops to inspect damage. Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision; proven record for maintaining the highest level of personal and professional integrity. Bilingual candidate are strongly encouraged. Flexibility to travel.

Required Schooling / Training

Four years of college, degree is preferred; HS diploma or GED is required.
