What your background should be

Minimum three years of clinical experience in pediatrics including the following areas of expertise: home care, case management, managed care or utilization review. Must be registered and currently licensed by the board of nurse examiner for the state of Texas. Case management certification is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred. Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts and techniques central to the nursing profession in the case management process and general managed care and specifically with complex pediatrics and obstetrics. Ability to comprehensively assess member or family medical needs, formulate a plan to help the member or family to meet these needs and provide ongoing evaluation and monitoring of those activities, education to members, families, providers and staff. Must have excellent verbal and written skills as well as be able to operate a personal computer, word processing programs, fax machine, photocopier and multi line telephone. Must have excellent customer service skills, advanced communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor of science degree in nursing or a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
