What you'll be doing

Conduct purchases by agreement, contract, or purchase order that meet purchasing policy. Select turnkey suppliers using supply chain experience and knowledge. Ensure suppliers maintain required min/max levels to support kanban system. Drive supplier performance, quality ratings and on-time delivery (otd). Initiate and follow-up on corrective action if supplier under performs. Perform rfi-s and rfq-s in support of manufacturing and engineering requirements. Purchase quality and cost-effective inventory, mro, and capital equipment to support production requirements. Locate and validate new suppliers for cost savings that provide a quality product and on time delivery. Identify and implement sufficient projects to obtain yearly ppv goals. Lead supplier selection and management (quality, delivery, cost, payment terms and package size). Organize and lead quarterly business reviews for key and strategic suppliers. General knowledge of maintenance, repairs, operating supplies, and safety equipment. Conduct consignment and vmi supplier negotiations. Utilize digital platform for ppv project tracking and conducting reverse auctions. P-card implementation. Plan flawless transitions with suppliers, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials. Create commodity strategies for strategic planning. Resolve accounts payable concerns on a timely basis .

What your background should be

Experience with lean manufacturing and its application to supply chain management. Demonstrated experience sourcing and contract negotiations. Solid understanding of and experience in a kanban environment. Experience in supplier min-max inventory management. Ability to multitask and address multiple requirements in a high pressure environment. Experience in sourcing and supplier management in low-cost regions. Experience in setting up and executing reverse auctions.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelors degree.
