What you'll be doing
- The registered nurse (RN) performs direct patient care within the scope of the registered nurse. Performs the primary function of assessing, planning, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients, infant through life span in the Med/Surg unit. Meets the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. Identifies nursing problems as relate to the individual needs of the patients. Plans and carries out individualized patient care. Daily uses of analytical and decision-making skills. Promotes and maintains patient safety standards. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of cmc. Responsible for maintaining a functional personal telephone and providing human resources and department manager/director with current telephone number.
What your background should be
- Current GA RN license. Basic healthcare provider (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion. ACLS required six months of hire. Previous 2 years of experience preferred. Must have one year of experience to qualify for PRN position.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
