What you'll be doing

Provide ArNET system support, load, configure, conduct informal training, network support, and troubleshooting for SIS programs. Answer user inquiries regarding STAMIS software or hardware operation to resolve problems. Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. Follow schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. Support general STAMIS peripherals to include printers, automated manifest system readers/writers and radio frequency ID tag readers/writers. Provide local onsite troubleshooting for STAMIS. Troubleshoot STAMIS connectivity issues related to both wireless combat service supports automated Information systems interface (CAISI), very small aperture terminal (VSAT) communications satellite and physical networks (LAN). Assist in management of STAMIS VLAN. Tracks system and network administrators STAMIS issues. Respond to functional requirements when deployed and be prepared to support all contingency operations. Support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development.

What your background should be

Required Schooling / Training

HS diploma required, advanced technical degree preferred.
