What you'll be doing

The responsibilities of a web producer include driving traffic to web pages, formatting and managing the digital content. Perform duties of online writer or producer, specializing in print style writing, copy editing and editorial gathering. Facilitate, understand and execute the editorial gathering of local web news and reproducing material into strong compelling web material. Present web and social media content on the television platform. Handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline oriented environment. Perform all other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by management.

What your background should be

1 to 2 years of web writing and production experience, plus one year of on air broadcasting experience. Knowledge of common web and application architectures. Knowledge and use of writing for print with an emphasis on AP style. Understanding of user on-line behavior. Skilled in all areas of audio or video digitizing and editing. Position demands excellent print or web writing, web editing, interface design and web production skills, plus the on air presentation skills necessary to deliver web and social media content on the television platform. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a cohesive team. Knowledge of HTML, basic AVID editing, iNews and social media including but not limited to Facebook and Twitter.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field required.
