What you'll be doing

Interact with clients to provide service and pet healthcare education. Give treatments to patients: oral and injections. Perform correct restraint methods. Keep work areas organized. Understand importance of cleanliness and disinfection. Companies veterinary technicians are utilized to the fullest potential. Veterinary technicians cannot diagnose a patient, perform surgery, or prescribe medication. All other areas company technicians are trained and utilized to perform (anesthesia, surgery prep and assisting, laboratory procedures, radiology, dental cleaning, etc).

What your background should be

Able to work between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. monday-friday. Must be competent in computer skills to learn clinic software. Able to work weekends, occasional night shift, and holidays. Able to lift heavy patients and stand for long periods. Veterinary experience is preferred, but not required. Friendly, happy person that smiles. Have initiative to learn clinic skills, while working in veterinary technician position. Love for animals is a given for this position, applicant must also love working with people (clients and team members).
