Restaurant General Manager

What you'll be doing: The restaurant general manager will play the key role in the operation of restaurants. The candidate is responsible for directing the daily operations of a restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting and retention of team members, financial accountability, ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer. This position is also responsible for creating value for shareholders through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management. S/he will control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team. Ensure osha, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy met. Control profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions. The incumbent will recruit, interview, and hire team members, conduct performance appraisals, take discipline actions, motivates, and trains. Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds using a preventative maintenance program. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be: The candidate should have excellent customer service and employee relation skills, excellent communication skills in both oral and verbal. S/he should be detail oriented with the capability to oversee all aspects of the business and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Should be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and responding quickly for long times. The incumbent should be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
