Senior Applications Developer

What you'll be doing: The applicant is responsible to develop, test and modify internal application systems. This includes scripts, monitoring, tool setup and administration, tool and app server upgrades. The job will entail a strong understanding of web architecture and deployments. S/he will have to consult with web application developers and system engineers to ensure the consistent deployment and accessibility of internal and externally facing web applications. The applicant will develop general and project specific user documentation. S/he will also develop ad-hoc report and analysis as required. S/he will be responsible to maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technology.

What your background should be: 5+ years of professional experience with web configuration with apache, iis, weblogic is required. Excellent knowledge of basic object oriented programming (oop) and systems analysis procedures are required. Familiarity with programming in java, jsp/jsf, javascript, css, jira, fisheye, splunk, ca apm is plus, weblogic scripting, perl, ajax, linux scripting is plus, sap is a plus. A solid understanding of web impacts of dns, firewalls, and proxy servers. Working knowledge of with web services (i.e. soap, rest). Ability to work with development tools and build systems like eclipse, ant, maven, bamboo.
