What you'll be doing

Manages and coordinates aspects of the residential mortgage lending operations activities, which may include loan processing and documentation, loan closing/funding, shipping and underwriting. Ensures quality processing and control and high levels of customer service. Develops, reviews and recommends operational systems and procedures related to residential mortgage lending function. Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. Ensures quality service, effective and efficient operations support for all internal and external customers. Responsible for monitoring systems availability and performance, operation integrity, and management reporting. Ensures that operating policies, practices and procedures adhere to regulatory and underwriting requirements. Manages the mortgage operations staff.

What your background should be

6+ years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, shipping, banking operations and systems or other directly related experience, managerial experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. Requires considerable working knowledge of all aspects of mortgage loan operations including underwriting, compliance, processing, closing, and funding. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Management experience a plus.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in business finance or other related field
