What you'll be doing
- Develops and implements program overall strategic goals and objectives. Develops and implements initiatives to increase the company visibility through program delivery within the area. Advances volunteer services to meet goals and objectives. Develops program-specific objectives for new initiatives. Acts as a volunteer services subject matter expert (SME) to staff, management, volunteers and external partners. Will oversee the work assignment and performance of volunteers. Represents the company and promotes services and programs to the communities in the area. Recruits, engages, retains volunteers to support chapter and blood services operations; provides support for the youth, school-based program; provides regional support for the volunteer database and social networking system; supervises 3 support staff.
What your background should be
- Minimum of 5 years experience with social services or service/program delivery. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience with coordinating staff and volunteer activities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree
