What you'll be doing

Develop supply chain strategies and alternatives. Form and maintain strong business relationships with first tier subcontractors. Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation. Perform risk analysis, identify risks, opportunities, potential impacts and mitigation plans. Focus on program goals to ensure that solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Participate in source selection process at proposal and execution phases, working with supplier development, planning and proposal support processes. Analyze and extract requirements from companies prime contracts. Conduct make or buy analysis.

What your background should be

6+ years of related experience managing subcontracts for complex US government programs. C.P.M or A.P.P through ISM is a plus, or certification in NCMA. Working knowledge of the federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and acquisition management system (AMS). Experience in the use, employment and requirements of various subcontract types including but not limited to T&M, labor hour, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF. Strong problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills. Effective written, verbal and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to act independently as may be required and demonstrated success in influencing or achieving critical requirements including those related to cost and schedule performance. Candidate should have the ability to obtain and maintain a US government secret security clearance.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree in business, JD, supply chain, engineering or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
