What you'll be doing
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure system integrity. Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Setup and maintenance of customer furnished computer systems. Analyze system faults and troubleshoot and run diagnostic tests on system components to detect problems. Install developed software during various phases of testing. Review and prepare documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Perform preventive maintenance on the systems as well as repair to system and environment problems. Administer systems and environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules. Determine analyze and document ia and security policies, standards and requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that satisfy security requirements. Provide integration and implementation of the system security solution. Execute customer directed security tools to scan the system for vulnerability risks, analyze scan results and make mitigation recommendations. Support development the security test plan and procedures and review and comment on the draft. Perform security engineering, and vulnerability or risk analyses of the system and applications during all phases of the system lifecycle. Analyze information assurance related technical problems and provide engineering and technical support in resolving. Identify, report, and resolve security vulnerabilities and violations. Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Ensure that the system is secure.
What your background should be
- Three to five years of related experience required. The applicant must have an active dod security clearance. Possess knowledge of computer hardware and software fundamentals and experience in the operations, administration, and maintenance of computing environments preferred. Able to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve a variety of system issues of varying complexity preferred. Knowledge and experience with rhel, windows, solaris, and vmware esxi operating systems and applications hosted on the platform preferred. S/he should have network experience including dns servers; broad experience at installing and configuring software on computer systems. A+ and security certification; red hat system administrators certification are preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in related technical discipline required.
