Claims Specialist

What you'll be doing: Claims specialist to perform a variety of activities to maximize the recovery of losses through the timely and accurate filing of mortgage insurance and investor claims. Retrieve and assemble back up documents for claim packages. Prepare claim forms with allowable charges. Photocopies, files and mails/transmits final claims. Follow up on claim payment status. Prepare claim payment reconciliation to ensure full payment is received. Submit supplemental claims on non-paid allowable charges. Update the system with pending, submitted, withdrawn and paid claim information.

What your background should be: Ability to effectively communicate with co workers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner. Ability to communicate with the mortgage insurance industry in a proficient manner. Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems in a tactful manner.
