What you'll be doing
- The registered nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the emergency department. S/he communicates with the physician about the changes in the patients clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and sypmtomatology. The position responds quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. The incumbent maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
What your background should be
- Current valid CA registered nurse license. Completion of critical care course preferred. Current BCLS certificate. Current ACLS certificate. Previous critical care experience preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma/GED or higher educational area of study.
