What you'll be doing
- Gathers all supplies and prepares food and beverages from the snack bar menu in accordance with club standards. Serves items in accordance to established portion and presentation standards. Keeps work station and cooking equipment clean and organized. Maintains food sanitation and security in his/her work area. Assist in other food preparation as requested. Assist in food runner duties as needed. Notifies supervisor in advance of expected shortages. Assists in the set-up, attendance and breakdown of buffets. Assists in banquet and line set-ups and plate-ups. Adheres to local and state health and safety standards and maintains highest sanitary standards. Keeps all reefers, freezers and store rooms in clean and organized condition. Covers, dates and stores all left over products that are reusable. Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times. Avails him/herself, to the best of his/her abilities, to directly assist in the furtherance of member satisfaction. Always maintains a friendly, hospitable and helpful attitude with all members, guests and employees. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.
What your background should be
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be well versed in sanitation techniques and procedures. Previous experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant or club required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Frequent bending, lifting of heavy objects, squatting and turning required.
