What you'll be doing
- Provide scientific and strategic expertise for pre-candidate nomination projects. Develop, align and execute a broad discovery toxicology strategy for drug discovery units (DDUs). Interact directly with DSRE global head, site leads and toxicology therapeutic area leads (ToTALs) to determine goals, strategy and execution of early safety screening. Review, discuss, and approve screening data, reports, scientific conclusions and presentations of these data within DSRE and to project teams. Keep current on the latest trends in the scientific landscape; represent company in appropriate consortia efforts and external alliances. Alignment of goals and resources with DDU leadership, DSRE leadership and other functional heads as needed. Alignment and coordination of lab functional area specific activities across site heads and ToTALs.
What your background should be
- Minimum 10+ years expertise in the multidisciplinary drug discovery with particular emphasis on one or more of mechanistic assay development, pharmacology assay development, computational predictive modeling, SAR, target validation, safety assay development/conduct. Familiarity with fundamentals of pharmacology, DMPK, computational biology and medicinal chemistry disciplines.
Required Schooling / Training
- BSc + masters degree.
