What you'll be doing
- The position will involve purchase, receive, store, and disburse tools and supplies required by service departments. Maintain special records on usage or life of critical items as directed. Store items in accordance with predetermined locations; make recommendation for improvements to supervisor, including purchase price variances and improved delivery times. Assist in introduction on new control systems. Maintain accurate tracking of inventory and equipment issuance via the crib computerizations network, expedite as required. Check out availability of parts and supplies from inventory system. Expedite any shortages, facilitate replacement inventory. Assist supervisor in training of new personnel. Maintain good housekeeping. Follow policies and procedures to the letter. Operate preventive maintenance system and issue reports. Perform related or comparable duties as assigned. Maintain technical library for equipment.
What your background should be
- Purchase parts at lowest cost and best lead time. Must have a valid driving license to make pickups and delivery in tri-state area. Maintain word and excel spread sheets. Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to multitask.
