What you'll be doing

As an outcomes specialist, the candidate will coordinate the day to day project management of clinical outcomes improvement for assigned clinical areas, services or medical staff teams. This position will be responsible for cardiovascular outcomes. Identify opportunities that impede the attainment of clinical outcome, analyze and evaluate clinical data as it relate to clinical outcomes and resource utilization, interprets information for other health care providers and communicate necessary strategies for improvement. Facilitate system level clinical programs with process improvement goals and strategies, integrate standards of care, clinical guidelines and protocols in collaboration with multidisciplinary groups and evaluate for outcomes improvement. Maintain awareness and knowledge of best practice strategies and disseminate information to relevant groups. Present educational programs and assist in the development of educational materials related to clinical areas of expertise and improvement efforts. Develop annual outcomes report for designated service line. Conduct leading practice research on clinical outcomes improvement and hardwire best practices.

What your background should be

Four to six years of clinical experience required. Two years project management experience preferred. Rn or other clinical licenses preferred. Certification in healthcare quality, patient safety or related regulatory entity preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Masters Degree required.
