Registered Nurse

What you'll be doing: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on a telemetry unit. Perform focused interview to identify specific patients needs. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patients condition. Collect, analyze and interpret data and information from health care members and documents actual and potential nursing diagnoses. Document the patients plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes and selected nursing interventions. Identify and prioritize actions based upon patient care requirements. Monitor consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff. Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard. Provide a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment. Initiate and evaluate patient and family education. Revise the plan of care, according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, effective and ineffective nursing interventions. Document patients response to nursing and other interventions. Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit and floor including establishing priorities. Monitor safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be: One year prior professional registered nursing experience preferred with one year telemetry experience preferred. Current registered or licensed practical nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices. Current health certificate, ppd or chest x ray and bls card preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.
