What you'll be doing
- Briefs passengers on flight requirements. Ensures compliance with customs, immigration and sabotage laws. Completes all flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location. Records flight times and aircraft defects. Ensures all flight planning requirements have been met. Completes an aircraft pre-flight inspection before each departure. Operates the aircraft in accordance with operator procedures and aircraft limitations. Determines the aircraft weight and balance. Ensures the aircraft is airworthy, duly registered and that the documentation specified is on board the aircraft. Ensures the aircraft crew members have valid licenses, medical certificates, passports and visas if needed and when required.
What your background should be
- 5-7+ years of experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. Holds at least a valid commercial pilot license and a valid instrument rating for the category of aircraft operated. Demonstrates knowledge of the content of the company operations manual, training manuals, standard operating procedures and the provisions of the civil aviation regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position. A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations. Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions.
Required Schooling / Training
- Undergraduate degree.
