Cognos Developer

What you'll be doing: The cognos report developer will work with the other team members of the west chase finance and BI groups to meet the reporting requirements of rig technology. This will include understanding the data architecture of the data warehouse, the business rules for reporting, and understanding the reporting frameworks that are created by the BI architect. Primary responsibilities include working with business and IT stakeholders to understand business goals and requirements in order to quickly deploy reports and analytics that enable better decision making. The cognos developer will provide development, testing, and support throughout the report development lifecycle.

What your background should be: Preferred candidate must be proficient with cognos versions 8 & 10 (3 to 5 years minimum). Proficiency with query studio, analysis studio, and report studio required. The cognos developer will also need to deliver on multiple projects by working with internal and external partners. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are desired. Heavy emphasis placed on delivering results, working well across business and technical teams, leveraging agile methodologies, and enabling innovative solutions job.
