Service Grounds Keeper

What you'll be doing: Service grounds keeper is responsible for the watering of all turf, shrub and planted areas, keep plants green, healthy and attractive condition. Maintain all exterior areas of the complex, including stairwells, sidewalks, dumpster areas and parking lots, in a clean and litter free condition. Cleaning of entryways and stairwells, using backpack blower to remove leaves, debris and cobwebs from corners and recesses of each building. Patrol of grounds each morning for removal of litter. Sweeping or blowing off of all sidewalks and parking areas, including the dumpster areas. Perform adequate watering, as required, on a daily basis during summer months. Other duties may be assigned.

What your background should be: Minimum 1 year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, specification sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform physical labor and to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
