RF Network Engineer

What you'll be doing: Primary purpose functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. The candidate expands knowledge and skills set in area of discipline. This position is responsible for designing point-to-multipoint communication systems with reliable radio service. Multipoint service areas may be fixed or mobile radiolocations. Designs may include RF propagation calculations, frequency planning, equipment selection, and configurations necessary to develop construction and installation documents. The incumbent coordinates design efforts with other project engineers and technicians in the same department. S/he evaluates data, reports, etc.

What your background should be: The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience performing rf engineering related duties. Experience implementing applicable directional and unidirectional antennas and choosing appropriate feed line sizes preferred. S/he should have working knowledge of RF planning process and working with frequency coordinators to acquire frequency licenses to support a radio system. Incumbent should have excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and experience with google earth, pathless, or other rf modeling software. The candidate with skills in rf engineering and network design is required.
