What you'll be doing
- The CNC boring bar machinist will be responsible for safely setting up and machining large complex parts to blue print. Understand and interpret blue print requirements including dimensions and tolerances. Program or adjust programming to allow for proper operation. Set up fixtures and materials for safe and proper operation. Operate the boring bar while ensuring process and run time optimization. Monitor parts being machined to ensure adherence to blue print requirements and tolerances. Perform self-inspection and other required quality control process at machine prior to quality lab. Suggest and implement continuous improvement efforts to maximize production run time, cost reductions and improved quality. Regularly meet production goals. Complete all required documentation to ensure compliance with ISO policy. Work safely and maintain a neat work area.
What your background should be
- Minimum 3-5 years CNC boring bar experience required. Experience with large and small CNC machining centers preferred. Excellent communication and team work skills. Strong problem solving skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
