The Office Administrator will be responsible for a thorough monitoring of patient and insurance account receivables, to achieve company aging standards and maximum reimbursement. Besides, the incumbent will be asked to maintain efficient knowledge of payer guidelines as well as exert all efforts required to resolved collectable accounts; to conduct account adjustments in strict accordance with the guidelines set by the department; review accounts for the potential refunds; accurately comprehend and interpret Benefits Explanation and denial, as well as resolve various issues and provide any documentation required to secure maximum payment. And finally, the most suitable candidate for the Office Administrator position will be required to consistently demonstrate all necessary skills to render paramount quality account management services.
What your background should be
- The basic requirements for the Office Administrator role: - Prior experience in using NextGen or / and Centricity strongly desired. - A.A. (Associates Degree) or equivalent from 2 years or technical school, OR from three to five years of previous professional experience or / and training, OR equivalent combination of experience and education. - Solid knowledge of Government and Commercial payers, and Managed Care. - Ability to interpret and analyze financial reports for sufficient AR management. - Strong understanding of ICD 9 and CPT coding. - Three or more years of prior experience of medical collections. - Ability to properly use MS Office suite, including Excel, Word as well as PowerPoint.
