What you'll be doing
- The baler operator is responsible to receive, segregate and load waste paper into a paper shredder as well as various traditional warehouse support duties. Overall responsible for unloading shredded paper from branch’s shred trucks nightly and maintenance check of each shredder. Responsible for operation and upkeep of locations bailing machinery and for ensuring paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required. Perform security checks to ensure the branch operations are secure and occasionally required to perform shredding operations in support of branch’s off-site shredding offering.
What your background should be
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Basic knowledge of forklift truck driving. Strong team orientated. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime.
