What you'll be doing
- In partnership with program manager and niche president, develop marketing strategies for specific niches of customers to achieve growth objectives and increase differentiation in the marketplace. Determine and execute the marketing plan and objectives for one or more niches or programs in coordination with the marketing team and program managers. Work with customer research manager to conduct market research and data mining to gain a better understanding of the niche customers and identify marketing, partnership and product development opportunities. Work with communications manager to develop content strategy for online and offline marketing materials (i.e. web, sales collateral) and develop media relations opportunities to meet business objectives. Work with digital marketing manager to define and execute marketing campaigns in support of niche business objectives. Work with marketing team to prioritize and execute new enhancements, functionality and other digital projects for the companies website. Analyze, prioritize and develop business opportunities with associations, organizations or partnerships that can be leveraged effectively to drive customer growth or differentiated offerings. Through marketing analysis, identify and prioritize list of organizations that would provide co-branded program opportunities for companies business. Initiate discussions with prioritized organizations and develop business relationships as appropriate. Coordinate execution of co-branded partnerships with internal stakeholders and distribution partners (MGAs) competitive analysis (SWOT) to understand companies relative competitive positioning and identify needs and opportunities. Develop and manage budgets specific to niche businesses or programs to maximize ROI joint marketing planning with key distribution partners (MGA, etc.). Prioritization across business niches. Resource planning for the overall marketing organization.
What your background should be
- 5+ years experience in marketing, management consulting, brand management or related fields is desired. Candidate must have a clear track record of developing and executing marketing strategies across a wide range of disciplines that lead to business growth. Industry experience not required, but experience in financial services and B2B environments is beneficial. Experience with industries or businesses with third party distribution is desired. Mastery of strategic marketing concepts and application to real business problems and opportunities. Strong analytical skills, including the analysis and interpretation of data to derive actionable conclusions. Strong business development skills and a demonstrated ability to get deals done. Effective project management skills and the ability to coordinate a wide range of interconnected work streams. Ability to work effectively within and across teams to achieve the desired result for the company. Confident, articulate and persuasive communicator using verbal, written and graphical skills.
