What you'll be doing

The Accounting Clerk will act as the custodian for the general ledger, involving all monthly activity and the maintenance of master files such as chart of accounts, profit and cost centers, and report generators. The successful applicant will prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department. It is the chargeability of the Accounting clerk to verify purchase requisitions by compare items requested to master list; clarify unclear items; recommend alternatives. The incumbent will review, monitor and update as necessary internal control mechanisms to safeguard the company's assets. Furthermore, she/he will manage a staff of one including: conducting performance reviews, assigning duties, training and scheduling.
