What you'll be doing
- As a Business Development Manager, this individual will work with our businesses, technology leaders, external collaborators, and various government agencies, the person will assess various technology spaces (e.g., aviation, energy, environmental, industrial markets) and select promising new growth opportunities enabled by advanced technology. The ideal candidate will develop external opportunities with an emphasis on securing external funding and the GE matching MONEY (as needed) for the R&D effort needed to overcome key technical risks to justify a commercialization business decision. It is the task of the Business Development Manager to lead efforts that enhance the win-win alignments of the company and external R&D customer programs and budget priorities.
What your background should be
- 5 years of experience in business development
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor's degree
