- The Quality Assurance Specialist will become an integral part of our department. The most essential responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Specialist role include: - Provide completed audit with the strong feedback to the colleagues as well as their supervisor. - Perform review of the colleague coded data in order to ensure the company quality standards as well as give educational feedback to the colleague. - Hold conference calls with the supervisor and the colleagues in order to discuss various issues. - Monitor as well as interpret colleague error trends in order to give professional feedback during the educational sessions. - Study the client coding Quality Assurance questions that are related to the company colleague coded charts. - Provide support for the companys Compliance Program through demonstrating adherence to each of the related compliance procedures and policies.
What your background should be
- To get the Quality Assurance Specialist job, make sure to meet the following requirements: - From two years of previous experience auditing inpatient as well as full outpatient medical coding. - RHIA or RHIT or / and CCS-P, CCS. - Five years of auditing experience + from seven years of prior coding experience. - From three years of previous experience in full outpatient and inpatient medical coding. - Previous professional experience with E / M Clinic, E / M facility and IVR, prospective payment methods as well as Charge description review ability.
