What you'll be doing

Responsible for design, day to day operation and maintenance of multiple geographically diverse data center networks. Expected to be subject matter expert for all things network. Responsible for designing, implementing and documenting new technologies, as well as providing a top tier of troubleshooting and support for our customers. Responsible for troubleshooting complex network environments and maintaining exceptional uptime. Will be responsible for network projects in addition to the day-to-day support and provisioning. Leading the network-engineering group. Supporting and training other technical staff and engineers. Dealing with vendors and internet providers to support projects and troubleshoot issues. Running projects with set budgets, goals, and delivery dates. Maintaining and upgrading existing network infrastructure. Meeting with customers to gather requirements and suggesting network designs. Supporting customers and acting as a top tier of technical network support. Other duties as assigned by management.

What your background should be

At least 5-7 years of Network engineering experience. Required to be a part of an on-call rotation and will occasionally be responsible for after hours maintenance work. Some travel (less than 20%) will be required. Need mastery of Cisco, IOS, JunOS, data center network design. Expected to be subject matter expert in BGP and routing design. Need expertise in OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, Static Routing, VRFs and MPLS. Need strong knowledge of PIX/ASA devices, VPN (client and site to site), TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, load balancing, preferably F5 and/or Cisco, SNMP. Need server hardware knowledge. Must have knowledge in Linux (CentOS/Redhat), Windows Server 2000/2003/2008. Asterisk PBX experience a plus. Must have data center network experience. CCIE or CCNP strongly preferred. Other network related certifications a plus. Must have worked in zero downtime environments previously.

Required Schooling / Training

BS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.
