What you'll be doing
- The network architect performs complex tasks relating to network operations, installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of existing voice and data network systems. Works with resources from other IT groups to maintain and expand current service levels. Participate in network planning and provides input on the selection of network equipment. Use knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.
What your background should be
- Have a thorough understanding of technical concepts required for specialized field. Have technical experience with Cisco devices ranging from the new Cisco Nexus 7000s, 5000s, 2000s, Cisco 6500s including 6509E and 6513s, Cisco ASR 1001 to 1006 routers as well as the catalyst platforms. Also have experience with Cisco call manager, ASAs, ACS, and wireless controllers. Have technical experience in Cisco UCS and VM platforms. Have administration and support experience of WAN circuits ranging from SONET, Ethernet, DS3, Frame Relay, and MPLS. Have administration and support experience in Cisco LAN and wireless devices.
