What you'll be doing
- The Systems Analyst participates in the evaluation, development and implementation of new and existing systems for different functions of fiscal services functions of the hospital. Develop procedures as necessary, in coordination with the department management staff and any other internal departments. Analyzes systems processes related to new or current systems and determines needs for process changes and system modifications. Develop reports to support department management staff as well as preparing ad hoc reports for other internal departments as requested.
What your background should be
- Three years of related experience including systems analysis, database design, and project management required, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience with Accounting and budgeting systems preferred. Knowledge of advanced MS Access databases, SQL, Excel and data validations methodologies. Knowledge of creating ad hoc reports. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form, plan and coordinate projects and research, determine how an information system should work and how changes in conditions, operations and the environment will affect outcomes, handle stressful situations and multiple tasks in a support role, actively participate in performance improvement teams, identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, be self-motivated, analytical, a good troubleshooter and goal oriented, determine causes of operating errors and decide how to respond to them, maintain a high level of confidentiality, apply excellent organizational skills, self-administration, attention to detail, multi-tasking, prioritization, critical thinking and analysis, decision-making, and interpersonal interactions. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems required.
