What you'll be doing
- The company is seeking a qualified applicant who will provide direction and leadership to the Healthy Lifestyles department. The Director will ensure quality member service and satisfaction and contribute to the success of the Association. Major responsibilities include member safety, program development, facility management, strategic planning, volunteer or committee development and budget control. Recruit, train, evaluate and supervise all staff and volunteers. Plan, schedule and evaluate all related programs and services. Develop, track and control the annual income and expense budget in accordance with Branch and Association Guidelines. Direct the scheduling, maintenance and repair of department facilities and equipment. Review staff and member evaluations or feedback annually. Research, facilitate and build quality programs that provide member satisfaction. Work within the community to foster positive image to encourage good public relations. Serve as branch Manager on Duty. Serve as branch liaison to the association healthy lifestyles cabinet; serve on branch leadership team. Actively participate in all trainings, designated meetings and special events.
What your background should be
- Minimum of three years of commensurate experience in a supervisory or management position. Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications. ACSM, NASM, NSCA, AFAAOR ACE certifications are a plus. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications skills. Knowledge of MS Word and AS400 database is required.
Required Schooling / Training
- BA/BS degree in Health Fitness, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology or other related field.
