What you'll be doing
- Company is seeking a people oriented, responsible individual for developing, providing individualized or group instruction in life skills for oversight of dormitory residents, programs and activities. Also responsible for maintaining communications with residents case managers, maintaining attendance and other client data, collecting dormitory fees, completing intakes and discharge forms and reports required by the DVA and Vesta, and other responsibilities as deemed appropriate. The dormitory manager also contacted if anything needed, such as toiletries, first aid kit, medical assistance or maintenance needs. The candidate contacts medical personnel when medical assistance needed.
What your background should be
- This position required minimum of 3 years in social services. Direct service provision to veterans preferred. Active Duty military service preferred. Preference will give to Veterans. Knowledge of case management techniques; familiarity with special needs of disadvantage populations; knowledge of local community services; ability to communicate effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds. Excellent verbal skills required to conduct group sessions. Familiarity and experience with drug testing and related equipment as well as solid familiarity and experience with computer software such as word processing and spreadsheets preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor Degree in Social Services or related field.
