What you'll be doing

Assist product management group in attaining goals for product performance based on strategic objectives. Maintain competitive products in response to market demand and in compliance with goals and strategies. Create analyses that reflect product performance compared to stated goals. Identify issues and present recommended solutions to manager. Assist Manager in the analysis of health care issues, economic trends and state/federal legislation to identify impact and to help formulate product and marketing strategies. Remain current on the appropriate market research, legal information, competitive intelligence, national trends and regional trends in order to facilitate the most informed marketing recommendations and product strategies. May develop and maintain marketing materials and other materials for both print and the Web. Act as liaison internal departments for development of materials regarding benefits, program rules and policies. Support the process to educate all internal and external customers in new and existing products. May represent product marketing and interests of assigned product on ad-hoc work groups and committees chaired by other departments. Prepare and deliver written and oral briefs to department management team as necessary. Organize promotional events for assigned products. Assist team with department initiatives and projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Required one to three years working to support or manage product development in an insurance environment. Understanding of basic marketing principles, including product development and management throughout its life cycle. Ability to research data, identify trends and recommend appropriate actions. Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment. Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative in finding solutions to difficult or sensitive problems, establish and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders, organize work efficiently to meet established time and quality standards. Good organization skills and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products; Word, Excel, PPT etc.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
