What you'll be doing
- The Manager, Business Continuity Program is responsible for creating and leading the enterprise wide program office and ensuring internal preparedness and continuity of operations. Successfully integrate business continuity and disaster recovery into organizational business plans and the enterprise risk tolerance strategy. Leverage organization wide continuity and recovery resources to achieve results. Responsible for all aspects of the program including, risk assessment, BIA, recovery strategy, plan building, exercising and crisis response. Candidate will also be responsible for overall company framework and methodology, awareness, training, liaison with external agencies and emergency response organizations. Also accountable for supporting IT readiness by facilitating the IT DR recovery capabilities and state of preparedness, including IT Infrastructure, Data Center and other back up locations, back up data, applications/systems, desktop support (especially for call center environments). Conduct emergency response drills; coordinate/facilitate annual DR exercises performed by IT.
What your background should be
- Combined 5 years experience in program management, business continuity planning, crisis management, and IT disaster recovery. Live crisis response experience preferred. Familiarity with LDRPS, Notified and Crystal Reports a plus. Strong knowledge of health insurance business operations and infrastructure strongly preferred. Ability to matrix manage and to lead cross-functional teams to results. Excellent leadership, team building and problem solving skills are required, Supervisory/oversight experience a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulately convey ideas and concepts for company-wide communication and training. Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passion, Caring, Collaboration, Respect and Accountability. Maintains confidentiality and uses only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor Degree in business or computer-related discipline, or equivalent experience, is required. Certification DRII (CBCP or MBCP) or BCI (MBCI or FBCI) preferred.
