What you'll be doing

Human Resources Director serves as a strategic business partner to the CEO/CFO and where applicable the senior HR leader assigned to each sector business. Focus should be on a broad based and transformational talent agenda designed to recruit, develop and retain the very best forward thinking talent in the business. Advise and where required, direct the human resources organization to develop and execute best practices to promote employee engagement and to enable a high-performing workforce that contributes to the organization strategic growth. Review all compensation and benefits programs and policies as they relate to company employees and the integration of processes and operations related to these areas. Communicates the salary planning and performance programs throughout the organization and ensures effectiveness in their administration and participation by both managers and employees. Oversees and administers other employment benefits such as vacation, service recognition awards, educational assistance, and pension plans and maintains all human resources related record keeping in compliance with company policy and governmental regulations. Develop a human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives by implementing systems, processes and best practices that are scalable across assigned businesses. Provide proactive, strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align across the business. Ensures that all internal employee communications are appropriately delivered and cascaded across the businesses. Serves as a Human Resources functional expert and develops a strong, best in class, human resource team within assigned companies.

What your background should be

This position required minimum 15 plus years experience in entrepreneurial organizations, ideally one that has had a focus on transformation and innovation in which the human resources function serves as a strategic business partner. Experience with manufacturing and a dispersed workforce is a must. Demonstrated leadership of a talent agenda that contributed to organizational growth and improved client service. Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change management and influencing skills. Experience upgrading and implementing HRIS systems across an organization with various dispersed business teams. Demonstrated and effective communication and relationship building skills at all levels in an organization; and Human resources leadership experience in which business knowledge and focus was valued and demonstrated.

Required Schooling / Training

BA/BS Required, MBA or relevant Master level education preferred, SPHR or other HR certifications also desirable.
