What you'll be doing
- The Transaction/Due Diligence Manager is a position that encompasses the full range of financial functions and skills, and is part of the team responsible for executing mergers and acquisitions; including oversight, analysis, due diligence and integration. This particular role requires a financial blend of technical and business skills and experiences; combining complex project planning, financial discipline and review; technical prowess, corporate governance and reporting application, sound and effective due diligence practices, along with direct, clear and accurate information and communication. The candidate has to be part of the planning for finance and accounting of the M&A due diligence and integration projects; including requests, prioritization, and project scheduling, and determining resources required to achieve and align with corporate objectives. Assist in leading and managing the finance and accounting process for all M&A projects, including assembling and interacting with all constituents to accomplish the required review and to successfully execute on the various projects. Work with the integrated finance and business teams throughout the due diligence process; providing direction while instilling financial discipline and optimizing business profitability. Confirm and communicate objectively the true picture of the corporate finance review, analysis and outcome on all M&A projects; vetting thoroughly the finance, accounting, reporting and governance implications of all initiatives. Lead and manage accounting lead strategic initiatives and as necessary provide assistance in the quarterly and annual close and reporting process.
What your background should be
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. Related experience in accounting of 4 to 6 years within big4 public accounting or a public company of similar structure and complexity. Credential that reflect a solid financial foundation and technical acumen demonstrated both academically and by the achievement of CPA status; likely gained in public accounting, ideally reaching experienced senior associate or manager designation. Very strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data. Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in the presentation of financial and non-financial information. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and presentation. Attention to detail with strategic and tactical insight. Demonstrate the ability to explain complex concepts and financial models. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and close advanced projects on time with minimal supervision.
