What you'll be doing
- The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products, from the definition of test strategies and plans, creation of manual/automated test scripts, rigorous test execution, to final production deployment. Primary responsibilities of this post are to analyze technical documentation to determine and validate its intended functionality, evaluate, plan, design, develop, and maintain test scripts for new applications, products, and enhancements to existing applications throughout their development lifecycle, provide reporting and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking., follow established process for defect tracking and reporting, including logging defects in a detailed and reproducible way, communicate test estimate, test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management, represent QA on cross functional project teams, provide suggestions for best practices and process improvement.
What your background should be
- 5 years equivalent work experience. Good working knowledge of SDLC best practices. Proven ability to develop and maintain test plans and detailed test scripts. Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize and organize work effectively. Working knowledge of relational database systems. Must have excellent written and communication skills including tact and diplomacy to maintain a cooperative relationship with development and business entities.
Required Schooling / Training
- BA or BS in software engineering or computer science.
