What you'll be doing

Use a variety of measuring equipment, i.e., calipers, micrometers, etc. Comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, routers, bull of materials, manufacturing procedures manual, basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, fractions). Read and perform functions to the product specifications. Operate a forklift and to lift up to 50 lbs. Train on different processes/operations to produce or repair diamond cutter bits. This process include, but are not limited to, machining, welding, plotting, clean up, quality inspection, painting, fur acing, repair, pricing, and bit shopping preparation. Learn to sets up and operate machines for production or bit repair according to bit specifications and bill of materials and become familiar with the Total Quality Management (TQM) process, self-directed team process and safety process of the company.

What your background should be

Must be trained in the operation of NC lathes and mills using Fanuc controls, must have knowledge of all types of measuring equipment used in the machining process and 3+ years of military experience. Ability to troubleshoot machine issues/problems is preferred. Good communication skills required. Ability to train other personnel as needed. Skills based on the career fields listed below or related military occupational skills.

Required Schooling / Training

HS Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years related experience
