Senior Regulatory Advisor

What you'll be doing: As a Senior Regulatory Policy Advisor, candidate will be responsible for the correct and consistent interpretation of the Basel 3 regulation as implemented in the US. Translate US Basel 3 regulatory requirements into internal policies with a focus on capital advantage, liquidity requirements, and to provide policy advice to internal functions responsible for the implementation of the new requirements. Provide policy advisory services to business divisions and take related policy decisions to ensure consistency of rule application and regulatory adherence. Monitor and assess changes to the US regulatory framework and communicate them to senior management, control functions and business divisions. Advise on the application and impact of new regulation on business models and products. Develop and deliver educational services.

What your background should be: Several years of work experience in a similar role within a global universal or investment bank, audit or consultancy firm or with regulatory authorities. Excellent knowledge of the existing US bank regulatory framework and an in-depth understanding of the new regulation implementing Basel 3 in the US. Very good knowledge of all types of universal and investment banking products. Good understanding of accounting rules and their relevance to the regulatory framework. Experienced in communicating complex regulatory matters both verbally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. Experienced in engaging with regulatory authorities and in negotiating regulatory outcomes. Excellent in analyzing and resolving complex regulatory issues in a timely and reliable manner. Structured, pro-active and resilient.

Required Schooling / Training: Any Degree in business administration, law, finance or science.
