What you'll be doing
- The Corporate Accounting Payments Manager will lead a team of 5 to 6 people who are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payments for the US, Canada, and 13 International Business Units. This person will also be responsible for oversight and management of reconciliation of all AP accounts, liaison with the Corporate Accounting G/L team and the management of bank and business unit relationships. The Payments Manager will ensure that strict controls are in place and being followed to prevent duplicate payments, track credits owed to Fidelity, and ensure that Company is protected by accurately and consistently making payments. A strong leader with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is key to success. Manage a team in a fast-paced environment and ensuring timely payment processing. Ensure that payments are being processed based on best practice and that controls are in place to ensure accuracy and timeliness; strategic thinker needed to continue to evaluate processes within the payment processing team. Responsible for the weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and account reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner. Continually evaluate processes and manage all process improvement initiatives in Payments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payments, including Oracle R12 implementation. Lead process improvement initiatives in Payments and provide subject matter expertise to CAP and outside business units as applicable.
What your background should be
- Candidate must have minimum of 5 years accounting experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is required, Oracle experience preferred. Self-starter, excellent written, oral communication skills strong decision making and problem solving, strong attention to detail and well organized. Comfortable working with large volumes of data. Strong interpersonal skills and project management skills. Able to participate in and lead cross company activities. Ability to multi task, work under pressure and hit deadlines.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting or Finance-related field.
