What you'll be doing
- Implements the prescribed curriculum and assists in the continuous development, evaluation and revision of the curriculum. Develops, prepares and implements meaningful lessons. Evaluates and reports student progress as required and appropriate. Conducts teacher/student and teacher/parent meetings as necessary and appropriate. Assumes responsibility for the appropriate discipline of all students within sight or hearing on school premises or at school sponsored activities. Serves as a positive role model and as a counselor for students. Administers the school wide student assessment instrument to assigned students. Participate cooperatively in staff and committee meetings. Prepares and submits reports as required. Adheres to applicable statutes, policies, regulations and directives. Performs other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Highly qualified in valid Alaska Type A Teacher certificate with appropriate endorsement, if required.
