What you'll be doing

The Residential Re-Entry Center monitor is responsible for the daily operation of the Residential Re-Entry Center and for fulfilling custodial requirements of residents assigned to the Federal Pre-Release Program. Responsible to the RRC Director for the day-to-day operation of the Residential Re-Entry Center, fulfilling required outlined in the Statement of Work as issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Candidate will be responsible for fulfilling custodial requirements and accountability of residents assigned to the Federal Pre-Release Program. Maintain a clean and orderly living. Recreation and sleeping area for the residents. Maintain contact with community resource agencies, referral agencies and officials involved in the resident program as authorized by the RRC Director. Assist the RRC Director in program planning, reviews, counseling and documentation. Compiles and submit s scheduled records. reports, and documentation as directed by the RRC Director. Administer program duties and assignments as delegated by RRC Director and responsible for overall program supervision when RRC Director is out of area. Implements provision of services, budgeting and pass request, bringing any problem to the attention of the RRC Director. Assist with house meetings as schedule. Responsible for appraising resident dorm progress and counsels on morale, motivation, adjustment and supportive needs as deemed necessary.

What your background should be

Knowledge of general office procedures and practices. Knowledge of basic record keeping practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with clients in order to control, lead, and motivate behavior. Ability to work with the public encompassing all types of behaviors. Ability to work independently and with limited supervision while enforcing established policies and procedures. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly while maintaining control and initiating the proper corrective action. Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects.

Required Schooling / Training

High School Diploma or GED.
