What you'll be doing
- The purpose of this position is to supervise a high performing team responsible for handling product safely, efficiently and effectively as it moves through the facility. Monitor production volume then assigns or reassigns to product related tasks involving receiving, picking, shipping product or performing other tasks. Must respond quickly to changing workflow conditions and contribute positively to the facility key performance indicators. Must be able to mentor and build a culture of safety among team members to achieve a safe working environment. Ensure all team members comprehend and execute safe practices complete safety observations of facility; record determine the workload for the day sent by corporate; monitor inventory movements in the facility frequently throughout the day. Evaluate staffing needs to meet daily demand; determine and request voluntary leave from team members for the day; reassign team members to new position according to available resources and skills sets to accomplish shift work set team members up for success; achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets expedite receiving, picking and shipping of priority product.
What your background should be
- Proven record for complying with safety requirements and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers proven leadership and supervisory experience. Successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously capable of managing time and budgets. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated team building skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with others experience and willingness to mentor and coach others ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts among team members. Approach change optimistically; sees change as an opportunity; adjusts quickly and proficiently to changing work environments. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; handles stressful conditions can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information and changing conditions. Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem solving.
